A South African innovation is helping athletes reduce the effects of jetlag when travelling to games and competitions in different time zones.  The amber tinted glasses filter out sleep disturbing blue light and allow the body to produce the sleep hormone melatonin regardless of what time of the day or night it is. 

They have been adopted by top sports teams including the Lions Super Rugby Team and UK Premier League side Bournemouth FC and were also included in the travel management programme for the Northern Ireland Team when they travelled to the Commonwealth Games in Australia recently.
